Experiencing the Elegance of the South Meeting Traditional Chinese Medicine

Holding an event to introduce traditional Chinese medicine at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GZUCM)

With the aim of promoting traditional Chinese culture, strengthening cultural exchanges between China and other countries, and getting to know more about traditional Chinese medicine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guangdong Province, in cooperation with the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, organized an event titled Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine on June 7, 2024, with the presence of the Consulate General of Iran in Guangzhou at the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

In this meeting, which was held with the presence of 30 representatives from the consulates general residing in Guangzhou, the honorable Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran made a speech, briefly introducing the brilliant history of traditional medicine in Iran and the existence of great scientists such as Abu Ali Sina and Razi as valuable assets of Islamic-Iranian civilization in this field. He also considered the commonalities of the two countries in this field and announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cooperate with China in traditional medicine.

The experience of treatment with traditional medicine and visiting the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Guangdong was another part of the programs organized in this ceremony. More than 2000 historical works, documents, and 450 medicinal plants are displayed in this museum.
